Job Title: Hospital Pharmacist
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Duration: 13-week assignment (with potential for extension)
Shift: 08 hrs/day & 40 hrs/week (Rotating weekends and holidays; primarily 3 PM–11 PM and 9 AM–5 PM, occasional 4 PM–12 AM or 8 AM–4 PM)
Pay: $83/hour
Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program.
Ability to practice hospital pharmacy in accordance with current standards.
Proficiency in operating required equipment.
Must be currently licensed as a Pharmacist in Massachusetts.
Prepare, dispense, and control medications and other pharmaceuticals in compliance with Federal, State, professional, and institutional standards.
Stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements and developments.
Assign and monitor tasks of supportive personnel.
Review medication orders for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness (dosage, compatibilities, scheduling, drug choice, etc.).
Compound pharmaceuticals including IV admixtures, TPN, and other preparations using accepted standards of practice.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and record-keeping as required by law and policy.
Provide drug information and guidance to medical, nursing, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
Issue and manage medications supplied to patient care units and other authorized areas.
Provide medication order-entry, clinical information, and telephone support during evening/night shifts, following institutional policies and procedures.
Deliver consistent service excellence to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and coworkers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
