  • Up to $2400 weekly (local within 50 miles)

  • Up to $3000 weekly (outside 50 miles)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Licensed Occupational Therapist Consultant for an exciting Travel and/or Local job in New York, NY 10007.

This is a full-time consulting role requiring in-person visits across the five boroughs of New York City, with flexibility to perform administrative duties remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in outreach activities, including meetings, site visits, and presentations to provider agencies and community partners.

  • Review new client referrals weekly; ensure eligibility, communicate outcomes, and follow up on incomplete documentation.

  • Conduct in-person home visits to evaluate fall risks, safety, accessibility, and client functional abilities.

  • Recommend safety modifications, medical equipment, and home repairs tailored to client needs.

  • Collaborate with the Project Director and Home Modification Contractor to oversee service contracts and ensure timely project completion.

  • Return to client homes post-modification to verify functionality and provide training on equipment use.

  • Track assessments, repairs, and timelines; maintain accurate reporting in the client tracking database.

  • Assist in resource library development and sustainability planning for long-term program growth.

  • Prepare and submit reports as required by the funding organization.

  • Respond promptly to concerns from referral sources and maintain strong communication with clients and team members.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Valid New York State license to practice occupational therapy.

  • Baccalaureate degree in occupational therapy from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 3 years of full-time occupational therapy experience, with at least 1 year in an educational setting.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, WebEx, etc.).

  • Must have a cell phone and a computer meeting minimum technical requirements (i5/i7 processor, 8–16GB RAM, webcam, mic, headset, Wi-Fi speed of 200 Mbps).

  • Commitment to delivering all scope-of-work requirements personally (no subcontracting).

Preferred Skills

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish, Chinese, or Russian) highly preferred.

  • Experience working with low-income older adult populations.

  • Strong decision-making abilities and attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
