Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking X-Ray Technician for an exciting Job in New York, NY 10024.
Identify patient service requirements by building rapport, reducing anxieties, explaining procedures, and answering questions.
Prepare patients for procedures by positioning them correctly, adjusting immobilization devices, and calibrating equipment settings.
Ensure safety by minimizing radiation exposure using protective devices, shielding, and proper exposure techniques.
Adhere to established infection control policies and procedures.
Produce high-quality radiographs by following protocols, processing images, observing results, and making adjustments as needed.
Document patient care services accurately in departmental and patient records, including verification of completed exams.
Maintain equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair coordination, and inventory control.
Support inventory management by monitoring stock and anticipating supply needs.
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
Stay current with professional knowledge through CME requirements, workshops, publications, and professional networks.
Participate as a team member to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Complete yearly Age-Specific Competency training.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Licensed Radiologic Technologist with the New York State Department of Health.
Certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Competence in performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
Demonstrated dependability, attention to detail, and ability to create a safe clinical environment.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
