Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a critical care setting. The RN will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation while adhering to professional standards and hospital policies. Responsibilities include medication administration, patient education, coordination with ancillary personnel, and supporting quality outcomes with a strong focus on patient safety and service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Develop, implement, and communicate individualized care plans.

  • Administer and monitor medications; document patient responses.

  • Function as charge nurse, mentor, and resource for staff orientation.

  • Demonstrate proficiency with electronic health records and nursing informatics.

  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

  • Represent the hospital with professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain certifications.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

  • Active RN license in Massachusetts.

  • Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CCHC Pharmacology Exam, CCHC Basic Arrhythmia Exam.

  • Prior ICU/critical care experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).

  • CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse Certification).

  • TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation Certification).

  • De-escalation Certification.

  • Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and intracranial pressure monitoring.
