Top Technical Requirements

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to support high-visibility strategic initiatives and large-scale IT programs. This role involves overseeing the transformation and modernization of enterprise technology services, network infrastructure, and the rollout of key IT solutions to business users and stakeholders.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery from planning through execution and closure. You will be responsible for managing budgets, ensuring alignment with technical standards, and delivering outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead complex initiatives that require collaboration across multiple departments and stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and executive-level presentations to track and communicate progress.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and detailed project scope documents.

  • Ensure projects follow best practices and are supported by well-defined artifacts (project plans, work breakdown structures, user stories, checklists, budgets, etc.).

  • Partner with technical leadership to ensure solutions align with organizational standards while advocating for optimal approaches when needed.

  • Facilitate project assessments to measure outcomes, identify lessons learned, and recommend improvements.

  • Support PMO processes by aligning project goals with organizational priorities, implementing standards, and maintaining governance.

Required Skills & Capabilities

  • 10+ years of IT project management experience in senior roles with budget responsibilities.

  • Proven record of managing large-scale, complex IT programs.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • Strong background in organizational change management (OCM).

  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar).

  • Experience with methodologies such as PMP, Agile, or Scrum.

Preferred Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong leadership with a keen understanding of organizational dynamics and stakeholder influence.

  • Skilled in risk management, process redesign, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Familiarity with IT concepts, cloud hosting, and network infrastructure solutions.

  • Experience in IT construction delivery, procurement systems, and technical documentation is a plus.

  • Project management certifications (PMP, PM-ACP, CSM, or equivalent) preferred.

  • Prior experience in government, public sector, or highly regulated environments is an advantage.
