Position Summary

We are seeking a Product Designer to join our design system team, focused on enabling world-class digital experiences through scalable, flexible, and user-centered systems. This designer will play a key role in evolving the design system to support mobile app redesign initiatives.

The role requires expert-level Figma skills—building, maintaining, and innovating with precision—along with a strong understanding of how design systems connect across mobile and web platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing for iOS and Android apps, thrives with a systems-oriented mindset, and collaborates effectively with engineering teams. Development literacy is a plus, as this position works closely with developers to ensure seamless translation from design to code.

This position reports to the Product Design Manager and combines hands-on system building with strategic thinking, enabling designers across the organization to work faster, smarter, and more consistently.

Core Responsibilities

  • Figma Mastery: Build and maintain component libraries, tokens, variables, and workflows. Push Figma to its limits to create reliable, scalable assets.

  • System Governance: Define contribution, maintenance, and versioning models to keep the system stable, trusted, and evolving.

  • Cross-Platform Design: Ensure patterns and components translate seamlessly across iOS, Android, and web.

  • Engineering Collaboration: Partner closely with developers to align tokens, variables, and troubleshoot implementation challenges.

  • Innovation & Evolution: Anticipate and integrate emerging Figma capabilities, plugins, and industry best practices.

  • Research Partnership: Collaborate with UX research to validate new components, patterns, and accessibility standards.

  • Enablement & Training: Lead workshops, onboarding sessions, and office hours to support adoption across design and engineering teams.

  • Consistency & Brand Alignment: Ensure evolving brand identity is reflected across design system assets and digital products.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops, brainstorms, and critiques to inform UX direction.

  • Support usability testing, A/B testing, analytics reviews, and competitive audits.

  • Assess and improve the usability of new and existing features.

  • Advocate for accessibility, consistency, and usability standards.

  • Proactively identify roadblocks and drive solutions with minimal oversight.

  • Help onboard new team members, model best practices, and contribute to team rituals.

  • Stay informed on eCommerce trends, mobile UX best practices, and industry behaviors.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years in UX/UI or product design roles, with at least 2 years in design systems.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing system-level thinking and mobile app design (iOS & Android).

  • BS/BA in Design, HCI, or related field preferred.

  • Expert-level Figma skills (complex components, libraries, variables, workflows).

  • Familiarity with front-end concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks, design tokens, component-driven development).

  • Proven ability to collaborate with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong communication skills to articulate design intent and system rationale.

  • Experience with research-informed design and accessibility standards.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead projects independently.

  • Passion for design systems and driving impact at scale.
