Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. In this role, you will collaborate closely with dentists and other team members to provide high-quality patient care, education, and preventative treatments. This position requires excellent communication, patient-centered service, and the ability to perform a wide range of clinical and operational duties within a dental office. 

Responsibilities

  • Operate GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment (if required).
  • Provide oral hygiene treatment, care, and education in compliance with state guidelines.
  • Apply fluoride and protective sealants.
  • Remove calculus, stain, and plaque above and below the gum line.
  • Deliver nutritional counseling and self-care programs to support disease prevention.
  • Record and review patient medical histories.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA & OSHA regulations.
  • Track and order inventory as needed.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

  • Clinical setting with use of dental/medical equipment (computers, x-rays, phones).
  • Sterile and well-lit environment with mandatory use of protective gear (gloves, masks, eyewear, clothing).
  • OSHA training required due to exposure risks to bloodborne pathogens.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing/sitting for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to use hands and arms effectively.
  • Lifting/moving up to 25 lbs.
  • Regular exposure to clinical risks requiring adherence to safety standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment experience (some locations).

Preferred:

  • Prior experience operating GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment.

Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
  • Current state-issued Dental Hygiene license.
  • CPR certification.
