Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health / Psychiatry
Location: Bronx, NY 10461
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours per week | 8-hour shifts | 5 days per week
Duration: Contract Assignment
Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and psychiatric protocols.
Conduct patient assessments, monitor behavioral and physical health, and document care in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Administer prescribed medications and monitor effects, ensuring accuracy and safety.
Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and patient/family education.
Maintain a safe therapeutic environment and ensure compliance with all hospital and unit policies.
Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience.
Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required).
Current AHA BLS certification.
Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
