Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Elmhurst, NY 11373

Schedule & Hours:

  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • 5 days per week

  • Rotating weekends & holidays required

  • Initial training: 2 weeks, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (includes EPIC training)

Pay Range: $60 – $65/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team. The technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety while delivering accurate and high-quality imaging services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.

  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment and imaging systems.

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately.

  • Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and compliance with radiation safety standards.

  • Document and maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

  • Follow all regulatory guidelines, including those from NYSDOH and federal agencies.

  • Educate patients regarding procedures and aftercare instructions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technology experience in an acute care setting.

  • Proficiency with nuclear medicine imaging equipment and software.

  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach.

Education & Certifications

  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license issued by the NYSDOH (required).

  • BLS certification (preferred).
