Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pool Nurse (Evening Shift)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Type: Contract
Pay rate: $50/Hourly

Schedule:

  • 10-hour shifts: Thursday, Friday, Saturday (No Sundays)

  • 30 hours per week (occasional authorization to work over 30 hours, but not to exceed 40 hours; no overtime)

  • Shift: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • Every weekend is required except Sundays

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team as a Pool Nurse. In this vital role, you will provide direct nursing care and clinical assessment to youth in a dynamic environment. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address health concerns, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and maintain medical records and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and respond to youth health concerns and advise on health treatments and procedures

  • Obtain and process blood, urine, or other sample specimens

  • Monitor, record, and report changes in vitals or health condition; administer medications and observe for adverse reactions

  • Conduct intake health screenings for newly admitted youth; provide direct patient care and emergency care to both youth and staff as needed

  • Consult and coordinate on treatment plans with healthcare team; manage medical files and records

  • Administer vaccinations and assist with annual tuberculosis (TB) skin tests

  • Ensure medical supplies and equipment are stocked and maintained

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience

  • Active and valid RN license in the State of Arizona

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

  • Professional nursing knowledge, patient assessment, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to independently evaluate, analyze, and respond to medical emergencies

  • Able to work collaboratively to ensure resident health and safety

Preferred:

  • Corrections, detention, or youth facility experience
