Job Summary: We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service and administrative support in a healthcare office environment. This role is responsible for welcoming patients, managing appointments, and maintaining accurate patient account information while ensuring a professional and friendly atmosphere.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet and acknowledge patients with a smile upon arrival and dismissal.
Respond to patient questions and concerns in a professional manner.
Answer telephones promptly and courteously.
Schedule, confirm, and maintain patient appointments in the appointment book.
Follow up with patients regarding no-shows or cancellations.
Register patients upon arrival and ensure accurate documentation.
Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
Check voicemail daily and respond as appropriate.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming waiting area.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience answering telephones in a professional setting.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Prior experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare office setting.
Familiarity with insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
