Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician

Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hrs/week | 5 days/week | 7.5 hrs/day
Job Summary
The Certified Surgical Technician provides surgical support to residents and attending physicians in an oral surgery clinic and dental ambulatory OR/procedure room. This role ensures proper preparation of surgical environments, assists clinicians chair-side during procedures, and supports patient care throughout the surgical process.
Key Responsibilities
Escort patients to the surgical chair, review medical records, and confirm treatment requirements.
Provide continuous “four-handed” assistance to clinicians during procedures.
Clean and disinfect counters, equipment, and surgical areas prior to setup.
Organize sterile instruments, trays, and surgical equipment.
Take radiographs as requested before, during, and/or after procedures.
Monitor patient vitals and assist with suctioning, passing instruments, and administering medications as directed.
Restock cabinets, drawers, and order medical/surgical supplies as needed.
Safely remove instruments and equipment post-procedure and dispose of medical waste.
Respond effectively in case of medical emergencies.
Skills & Experience
Dental Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Minimum of 3 years of surgical technician experience (5 years preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in Eye, ENT, and Plastic cases (minimum 2 years required).
Education
Associate’s Degree required.
