Job Title: Payroll Coordinator

Duration: 5 Months
Minimum Qualifications
3 years of payroll processing experience using payroll software systems.
Ability to work a standard Monday–Friday schedule, with flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays as needed to meet strict payroll deadlines.
Associate’s degree or a 2-year technical certification in accounting or related field may substitute for 1.5 years of experience.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
General accounting and payroll processing.
Familiarity with payroll-related labor laws (FMLA, FLSA).

Strong teamwork skills: inspiring commitment, building trust, and facilitating cooperation.
Experience with automated payroll systems.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong interpersonal communication skills; able to work effectively with employees and management at all levels.
Clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication.
Proficiency in typing, 10-key, and mathematical calculations with accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience with PeopleSoft, Trapeze, and UKG software.
Payroll experience in transit, government/public sector, or union-represented environments.
Hybrid telework may be available at management discretion.
Work is primarily office-based with standard equipment and technology use.
May require movement between office buildings, occasionally in noisy environments.
Occasional lifting and carrying of materials up to 10 pounds.
