Job Title: Director of Nursing (DON) – Long-Term Care

Duration: 3+Months(Extendable)

Work Location:- Flagstaff, AZ

Shift timing:- Flexible — 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

Requirement:  AZ RN license, and BLS

Job Description:

• Manage and supervise all nursing services and clinical operations within the LTC facility
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including ADHS and CMS guidelines
• Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
• Conduct audits, monitor quality assurance programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and the Administrator to optimize resident outcomes
• Oversee staffing schedules, performance evaluations, and hiring of nursing personnel
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective action plans
• Manage clinical documentation, care plans, and medication administration processes
• Participate in resident and family meetings to address concerns and promote satisfaction
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for residents and staff

Requirements:

• Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
• Previous experience in a supervisory or DON role strongly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of nursing regulations and best practices in LTC settings
