Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry

Location: Neptune, NJ 07754

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The RN will evaluate patients, assist physicians with care delivery, and coordinate treatment plans based on patient needs and medical diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and document nursing care according to patient needs.

  • Assess patient conditions, identify priorities for care, and develop individualized care plans.

  • Perform ongoing assessments and therapeutic nursing interventions.

  • Manage and coordinate care for assigned patients.

  • Document care according to professional standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.

  • Advocate for and adopt evidence-based practice standards.

  • Deliver care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within a major acute care hospital.

  • Strong MS/Telemetry background.

Education:

  • Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN).

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).

Certifications & Licensure:

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).

  • Telemetry certification.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS – AHA).

  • CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours).

  • Active New Jersey RN license or multi-state compact RN license.

Schedule & Work Details:

  • Hours per Week: 36 (Three 12-hour shifts).

  • Hours per Day: 12.

  • Days per Week: 3.

  • Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.

  • Every other weekend and holidays required.

  • No on-call requirement.

  • Float to similar units as needed.

  • Must be able to perform phlebotomy, IV certification, and EKG.
