Job Title: Dietitian
Duration: 13-Week Contract

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview:
A leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care to patients in an inpatient hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, experience in medical nutrition therapy, and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough nutritional assessments, including malnutrition screening and diagnosis using standardized tools.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans based on patient needs.

  • Apply physician/referring practitioner-driven protocols to initiate, modify, or adjust:

    • Diet modifications and texture changes

    • Nutrition-related lab tests and medications

    • Nutrition education and counseling for patients and families

    • Enteral and parenteral nutrition formulations and adjustments

    • Prescribed vitamins, minerals, and supplemental water

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during patient rounds.

  • Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and care plans in the EMR in a timely manner.

  • Participate in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) and departmental initiatives.

  • Attend department meetings, continuing education, and training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential.

  • CNSC Certification (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) required.

  • Minimum 2 years of inpatient or critical care experience.

  • Expertise in medical nutrition therapy for diverse patient populations.

  • Proficiency in EMR documentation and clinical nutrition protocols.
