Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM and 4:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Monday–Friday)
Pay Rate: $2,062.50 to $2,250 weekly
Schedule: No weekends, holidays, or call

Job Summary:

The X-Ray Technologist operates or oversees the use of radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to create diagnostic images of the body. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, ensuring radiation safety, and maintaining imaging equipment in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish rapport with patients and address their service needs

  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures through proper positioning and equipment setup

  • Use radiation protection practices to minimize exposure to patients and staff

  • Follow infection control policies and safety regulations

  • Perform imaging procedures, observe results, and make necessary technical adjustments

  • Accurately document patient care and verify completed exams in patient records

  • Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate repairs when needed

  • Maintain inventory of radiology supplies

  • Stay current with industry standards through workshops and certifications

  • Support team initiatives and perform other relevant duties as assigned

  • Complete annual age-specific competency training

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 0–2 years (no prior experience required)

  • Licenses:

    • New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T)

    • ARRT Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

  • Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology

  • Skills:

    • Competency in diagnostic imaging procedures

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

    • Attention to patient safety and quality

    • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented

    • Knowledge of radiation safety and exposure settings
