Job Title: Physical Therapist
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Assignment Type: Travel / Contract (Locals and Travelers accepted)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours per Week: 40
Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with rotating weekends (8-hour shifts, 1st shift)

Pay Rate:

  • Locals: $1600 to $1837.50 weekly

  • Travelers: $2000 to $2570 weekly

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join an inpatient therapy team. This position involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based acute care rehabilitation to patients in a hospital setting. You will assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions to improve functional mobility, promote recovery, and support safe discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for patients with acute and complex medical conditions

  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams

  • Provide direct therapeutic interventions including mobility training, strengthening, balance activities, and patient education

  • Document all patient care activities accurately in the EMR, complying with regulatory standards

  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress

  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and equipment use

  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning

  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to safety and infection prevention protocols

  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring of therapy staff and students as needed

  • Complete annual competencies, continuing education, and attend department in-services

Required Skills & Qualifications

Licensure:

  • Active Physical Therapist License in Texas — required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification — required

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or equivalent) — required

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience — required

  • Experience in Level 1 Trauma Centers — preferred

  • Familiarity with medically complex, post-surgical, and critical care patients — strongly preferred
