We are currently seeking a qualified Anaesthesia Technician for a contract opportunity in Syracuse, NY. This is a 13-week assignment offering full-time hours and a chance to work in a dynamic medical environment.
Maintain appropriate levels of drugs and supplies in anaesthesia machines, carts, cabinets, and cardiac medication supply carts in accordance with departmental protocols
Order and restock drugs as directed
Accept, verify, and properly store pharmaceutical, warehouse, and vendor supply deliveries
Stock, clean, and organize workroom and department storage areas
Monitor and log refrigeration temperatures in the anaesthesia workroom
Routinely inspect for expired medications and supplies; return expired items to Pharmacy and ensure prompt replacement
Graduate of an approved Anaesthesia Technology accreditation program
National ASATT (American Society of Anaesthesia Technologists and Technicians) certification as an Anaesthesia Technologist
Current CPR/BLS certification (required prior to entering work site)
Preferred: Minimum of three years of work experience in the field
Knowledgeable in:
Reprocessing methods
Aseptic and sterile techniques
Setting up and assisting with sterile trays
Preferred: Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center
Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
