Job Title: Spanish Patient Access Representative
Location: Houston, TX 77024
Assignment Duration: 3+ Months (12 Weeks) with Possible Extension
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18/hour (W2)
We are currently seeking a Bilingual (Spanish-English) Patient Access Representative to support front office operations at a healthcare facility in Houston, TX. This role is critical in ensuring efficient and professional patient interactions, from registration through check-out, while maintaining accuracy in insurance verification and payment processing.
Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and guests with professionalism and courtesy
Complete patient registration, check-in, and check-out procedures accurately
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility; obtain pre-authorizations as required
Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances via cash or credit card
Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in the system
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage daily patient flow
Respond to inquiries and resolve patient concerns or escalate as appropriate
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all confidentiality policies
Maintain a clean and organized front desk environment
Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in a medical front office or patient access role
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (verbal and written)
Strong background in customer service and cashiering
Experience with credit card handling and 10-key by touch
Familiarity with front office operations and health insurance verification
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with EPIC or other EMR systems is a plus
High School Diploma or GED preferred
