Assignment Duration: 3+ Months (12 Weeks) with Possible Extension
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18/hour (W2)

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Bilingual (Spanish-English) Patient Access Representative to support front office operations at a healthcare facility in Houston, TX. This role is critical in ensuring efficient and professional patient interactions, from registration through check-out, while maintaining accuracy in insurance verification and payment processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and guests with professionalism and courtesy

  • Complete patient registration, check-in, and check-out procedures accurately

  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility; obtain pre-authorizations as required

  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances via cash or credit card

  • Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in the system

  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage daily patient flow

  • Respond to inquiries and resolve patient concerns or escalate as appropriate

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all confidentiality policies

  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk environment

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in a medical front office or patient access role

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (verbal and written)

  • Strong background in customer service and cashiering

  • Experience with credit card handling and 10-key by touch

  • Familiarity with front office operations and health insurance verification

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Experience with EPIC or other EMR systems is a plus

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
