Job Title: Patient Care Technician (PCT)
Location: Neptune, NJ
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 hours/week (3x12s) | Every Other Weekend
Pay: $18 – $23/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join a dedicated healthcare team in Neptune, NJ. The PCT will work under the supervision of registered nurses, assisting with direct patient care, performing basic clinical tasks, and ensuring patients receive high-quality support throughout their stay.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and verify identification wristbands

• Prepare patients for physical assessments, procedures, or transport

• Perform EKGs and obtain blood specimens (IV/capillary) from newborns to geriatric patients using proper aseptic techniques

• Label, document, and process specimens accurately

• Provide hygiene assistance, including bathing, toileting, oral care, and bed making

• Assist with feeding and monitor dietary intake

• Record vital signs and report abnormal results to the RN

• Document glucose checks, daily weights, intake/output

• Respond to call lights promptly and report changes in condition

• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized patient care environment

• Transport patients as required

• Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and families, respecting cultural and developmental needs

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or GED

• Completion of a Patient Care Technician training program

Certifications (Required):

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• EKG Certificate

• Phlebotomy Certificate

Preferred Experience:

• 1+ year as a PCT or CNA in a hospital or acute care setting
