Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Campus Applications to lead enterprise application services and IT project execution within a dynamic higher education environment. This leadership role involves overseeing application strategy, development, support, and implementation to improve institutional operations and enhance the user experience.

The Director will manage a portfolio of web and business applications, lead cross-functional teams, and work closely with internal stakeholders to align technology solutions with organizational goals. This is an opportunity to drive innovation, optimize services, and influence the digital transformation of campus operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and daily leadership to enterprise application teams and initiatives.
  • Oversee planning and execution of multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess needs, translate requirements, and prioritize development and implementation efforts.
  • Lead staff performance management, including goal setting, coaching, and annual evaluations.
  • Ensure high-quality support, maintenance, and security of enterprise applications.
  • Manage the design, development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle of internally developed and third-party systems.
  • Develop and track budgets, allocate resources effectively, and monitor service delivery performance.
  • Represent the IT organization in cross-departmental initiatives and technology governance forums.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership in enterprise application development and delivery.
  • 5+ years of IT management experience, including staff supervision and cross-team collaboration.
  • 5+ years of IT project management experience with a proven record of delivering complex solutions.
  • Experience working with stakeholders across academic or complex organizational structures.
  • Strong knowledge of application lifecycle management, systems integration, and IT service delivery best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead business process improvements and leverage technology to enhance operations.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Expertise in managing cloud, web, and mobile application environments.
  • Solid understanding of IT governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Effective in resource planning, budgeting, and vendor/contractor management.
  • Familiarity with agile and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Ability to drive innovation and change while fostering a high-performance team culture.
