Job Title: Enterprise Security Architect 
Location: Remote 
Contract Duration: 6 Months 
Employment Type: Contract 

Position Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Security Architect for a 6-month remote contract role. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and integration of enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategies and architectures to protect systems, networks, and data across multiple security domains. This position requires strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a thorough understanding of secure design principles. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and integrate cybersecurity designs for systems and networks with multi-level security requirements. 
  • Document and define the organization's cybersecurity architecture and security engineering standards. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical business functions and associated security requirements. 
  • Conduct security architecture reviews, assess existing systems for gaps or vulnerabilities, and recommend actionable remediation plans. 
  • Develop and maintain security risk management plans, including mitigation strategies and architecture improvements. 
  • Determine security controls needed for information systems and networks, ensuring documentation aligns with regulatory and industry best practices. 
  • Implement and manage secure configuration management processes and security governance frameworks. 
  • Provide guidance on enterprise security technologies and best practices related to cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise security architecture, cybersecurity, or information security. 
  • Proven experience designing and implementing security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS). 
  • Deep knowledge of network, system, application, and cloud security concepts and controls. 
  • Ability to analyze complex security architectures and recommend scalable solutions. 
  • Strong understanding of threat modeling, vulnerability management, identity & access management, and data protection. 
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or CCSP. 
  • Experience with security architecture in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments. 
  • Background in DevSecOps, Zero Trust Architecture, or security automation is a plus.
