Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Location: Neptune, NJ 07753
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: 5x8 Hour Days (Monday–Friday)
Hourly Rate: $21/hr - 23/hr

Job Summary:

Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) perform a blend of clinical and administrative duties that support both patient care and day-to-day clinic operations. They work under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers and play a vital role in ensuring accurate documentation, efficient workflow, and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures

• Record vital signs and document medical histories

• Prepare patients and examination rooms

• Administer medications and injections as directed

• Perform routine lab procedures and basic phlebotomy

• Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient communication, and updating electronic medical records

• Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and properly stocked

• Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and protocols

Education:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program

Certifications (One of the Following Required):

• CMA – NHA (National Healthcareer Association)

• CMA – NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing)

• CMA – AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants)

• RMA – AMT (American Medical Technologists)

• RMA – NAHP (National Association for Health Professionals)

• AMCA (American Medical Certification Association)

• NCMA (National Certification Medical Association)

• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support – American Heart Association)
