Job Title: Senior IT DevSecOps Architect
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid or Onsite – as required)
Type: Contract

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior IT DevSecOps Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure DevOps solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native infrastructure, automation frameworks, and security best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership capability, and hands-on experience with industry-standard DevOps tools and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement enterprise DevOps strategies

  • Design, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines

  • Lead automation initiatives including test-driven development and automated testing

  • Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools

  • Define and enforce security policies across DevOps processes

  • Evaluate emerging DevOps tools and technologies

  • Design and deploy containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Implement microservices architectures with scalability and resilience in mind

  • Develop automation and orchestration frameworks

  • Collaborate across teams to streamline development and deployment workflows

  • Maintain clear documentation and continuously improve DevOps processes

  • Optimize systems for high availability, reliability, and performance

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and compliance frameworks

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a related technical field

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline

  • Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines

  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives

Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

  • Docker or Kubernetes Certifications
