Job Title: Senior Security Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of a robust security infrastructure for a high-profile federal environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with on-premise and cloud systems and possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices and technologies.
Design and implement security infrastructure to protect enterprise data and systems from internal and external threats (cloud and on-premises).
Maintain and manage security tools, including software upgrades, patch management, and configuration to ensure optimal performance.
Research and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the organization’s security posture.
Contribute to the implementation of Zero Trust Architecture, including identity and access management enhancements, network segmentation, and improved visibility across assets.
Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
Analyze security data to detect anomalies and potential threats.
Assess risks and implement mitigation strategies to reduce vulnerabilities.
Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related role.
Strong background in secure network and system design, both in local and cloud environments.
Proficiency with a range of security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, IAM tools, and encryption protocols.
Knowledge of industry standards and compliance (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and security engineering principles.
Experience conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation plans.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE)
Certified Cloud Security Engineer (CCSE)
