Job Title: Master Data Specialist
Location: Rahway, NJ 07065 (Hybrid)
Duration: 3 Months
Pay Rate: $40.00/hr

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Master Data Specialist with strong data stewardship and data management experience. The ideal candidate will understand data ingestion, usage, quality, and governance processes. This role requires managing and maintaining data integrity while supporting business operations through effective documentation and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data stewardship duties, including ingestion, consumption, quality review, and maintenance

• Create and validate documentation from multiple sources for data dictionaries and process flows

• Conduct data analysis and support the development and tracking of data quality metrics

• Document and understand data flows from source systems to reporting tools

• Oversee Strategic Tender Dashboard processes, ensuring quality and consistency

• Manage new data initiatives by defining business cases and project scopes

• Provide business requirements and track data projects through completion

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience as a Data Steward, Quality Analyst, or in a related role

• Proficient in data analysis, governance, standards, modeling, metadata, and reporting

• Familiarity with data design, audit, governance, and IT systems

• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements

• Understanding of data sources, transformation rules, and their application

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (required)

Required Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Highly organized with the ability to track and report progress regularly

• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

• Capable of analyzing data sets for business impact

• Able to lead and coordinate meetings and working sessions

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Master Data Management (MDM)

• Knowledge of MDM principles and governance practices
