Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Endoscopy/Gastrointestinal (GI) Procedures to join our acute care team in central Manhattan. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of two years of endoscopy/GI experience within an acute hospital setting and possess strong competencies in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate during GI and endoscopic procedures, ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort

  • Administer and closely monitor conscious sedation throughout procedures

  • Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy with precision and care

  • Monitor patients during pre- and post-procedure phases, including vital signs and recovery assessments

  • Work alongside physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient records and procedural details

  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards

  • Educate patients on procedure preparation and post-care instructions

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active New York State RN license (Primary Source Verification required)

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in GI/Endoscopy within an acute care environment

  • Demonstrated proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy

  • Hands-on experience with conscious sedation, including administration and monitoring
