Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician

Location: New York, NY (Postal Code: 10003)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours/day (37.5 hours/week)
Schedule Notes: Minimum 2 years of Certified Surgical Technician (CST) experience required

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician to provide clinical and surgical assistance within a dental ambulatory operating/procedure room and oral surgery clinic. The ideal candidate will work closely with surgical residents and attending clinicians to support patient care and procedural efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to surgical chairs and review medical charts to verify required procedures and documentation completeness.

  • Provide continuous “four-handed” assistance to clinicians during procedures.

  • Disinfect surgical areas and prepare equipment prior to setup.

  • Organize and set up sterile surgical instruments, trays, and related materials in the operatory.

  • Take radiographs before, during, and after procedures as requested.

  • Monitor and restock supplies in cabinets and drawers; place orders for surgical and medical supplies.

  • Assist chairside with monitoring vital signs, suctioning, passing instruments, and administering medications.

  • Safely remove and dispose of instruments and medical waste post-procedure.

  • Respond promptly and effectively during clinical emergencies following established protocols.

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Dental Assistant Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a high-paced, patient-centered clinical environment

Education & Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree required

  • Minimum of 3 years of surgical technician experience (5 years preferred)
