Job Title: Programmer Consultant
Location: Blythewood, SC (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $60–$65/hr

Candidate must be a CURRENT South Carolina resident. No relocation allowed.

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Programmer Consultant to support development, troubleshooting, and enhancement of business applications using MicroFocus Visual COBOL, Visual Studio, and Oracle/SQL databases. The role involves both new development and maintenance across UI, business logic, and database layers, with production support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and troubleshoot core business applications (Phoenix II, Web Services, Batch).
• Design, code, test, and implement solutions.
• Work across COBOL, .NET (VB/C#), and database layers (Oracle, SQL).
• Provide production support and engage with technical/business teams.
• Report project status regularly.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years MicroFocus Visual COBOL (Windows Server, IIS, batch).
• 4+ years Visual Studio (2019/2022) development and debugging.
• 4+ years application programming with Oracle/SQL databases.

Preferred Skills:

• Complex SQL query development (Oracle/MS SQL).
• IIS configuration.
• C# .NET development.

Education:

• Bachelor’s in IT or related field with 8+ years of experience, or 10+ years relevant experience.

Certifications:

• Microsoft or MicroFocus certifications preferred but not required.
