Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Healthcare Consultant – Project Manager to support a major Medicaid modernization project focused on replacing an outdated eligibility determination system. This initiative leverages IBM Cúram’s Social Program Management (SPM) platform and follows an enterprise-level implementation strategy. The role involves close coordination with internal teams, system integrators, and external vendors to deliver a scalable, maintainable solution aligned with healthcare objectives.

Daily Responsibilities:

The Senior Cúram Operations Consultant will:

  • Serve as a key on-site technical advisor for the Member Management Replacement Project (MMRP).
  • Offer expert guidance on operations and maintenance for IBM Cúram applications.
  • Partner with analysts, SMEs, and vendors to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business needs.
  • Support knowledge transfer and ensure smooth transition from implementation (DDI phase) to operational support.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise on IBM Cúram technical best practices to support business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IBM Cúram framework and custom code issues.
  • Approve and evaluate proposed solutions; communicate technical risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct product demos and proof-of-concept sessions.
  • Perform data mapping, gap analysis, and impact assessments related to IBM Cúram.
  • Coordinate activities among integrators, vendors, and legacy system teams.
  • Support documentation and validation of business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with QA/testing teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Analyze new Cúram releases for operational impact.
  • Report status updates and risks to leadership clearly and effectively.
  • Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills (Ranked by Importance):

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with IBM Cúram framework (including HCR and CGIS).
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities with both OOTB and customized IBM Cúram code.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional, professional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • IBM Cúram Certification
  • Vendor management experience
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
  • Background in Medicaid operations or healthcare insurance
  • Public sector or higher education experience
  • Experience with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS)

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
