Shift: 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Setting: Acute Care / Med-Surg Unit
Pay Rate: $1,897.50 – $2,139.00 Weekly

Job Summary:

The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team, with a focus on Med/Surg patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver bedside nursing care for pre- and post-operative patients

• Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate documentation

• Perform dressing changes, catheter insertions, and IV starts

• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any adverse reactions

• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and post-operative care

• Adhere to clinical standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based practices

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in:

  • Large acute care hospital (for Acute Facilities)

  • Post-Acute or Acute care hospital (for Post-Acute Facilities)

• Proficient in:

  • Physical assessment

  • Medication administration

  • Wound care & infection control

  • IV therapy

  • Post-op care

  • Patient education

  • Telemetry monitoring

  • EPIC EMR knowledge

Education Requirements:

• Required:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution

  • Completion of Med/Surg Self-Assessment & Skills Checklist

Licensure & Certifications:

• Required:

  • Active New York State RN License

  • AHA BLS Certification

  • AHA ACLS Certification (Queens only)
