Job Title: Echo Technician
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11012
Duration: 13 Weeks (with possible extension)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may vary)

Compensation: $58–$65 per hour

Position Summary:

A well-established healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a skilled Echo Technician for a 13-week contract assignment, with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in echocardiography, particularly with adult and geriatric patients, and will demonstrate a strong foundation in patient care and technical ultrasound procedures.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

  • Bachelor of Science (Preferred)

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echocardiographer preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and use both hands with firm grasp

  • Full range of motion required: standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling

  • Ability to assist with patient lifting and transfers

  • Must possess adequate speaking, hearing, and visual acuity for safe communication and testing

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Active registry with ARDMS or CCI (Required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and interpret m-mode, 2D, Doppler (pulse, continuous, color), contrast, and stress echocardiograms

  • Accurately complete echo worksheets and calculations in a timely manner

  • Deliver patient care for adult and geriatric populations

  • Maintain current registry through continuing education (seminars, courses, etc.)

  • Demonstrate professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality in all tasks

  • Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed

  • Assist Cardiologists during procedures

  • Accurately document and chart procedures in patient records

  • Perform assessments based on the physiological and anatomical needs of patients

Work Environment:

  • Outpatient or inpatient clinical setting

  • Physical and fast-paced, requiring multitasking and high patient interaction
