Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED)
Location: Utica, NY 13502
Contract Type: Travel or Local 
Shift: 3x12 Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

Weekly Gross (Travelers): Up to $2,340/week (Pay Range will vary for local candidates)

Position Summary:

A state-of-the-art healthcare facility in Utica, NY is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses for 13-week contracts. Both local and travel RNs are welcome to apply. Candidates must have recent ED experience, preferably with some pediatric exposure, and be comfortable in a high-acuity environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of recent Emergency Department experience (pediatric experience preferred)

  • Prior travel nursing experience (preferred)

  • 2 recent references from ED Charge or Manager RNs

  • Active New York RN license (verified via NURSYS)

  • Current AHA certifications:

    • BLS

    • ACLS

    • PALS

    • NIHSS

    • TNCC

  • EPIC EMR experience (required)

  • Emergency Department specialty skills checklist

  • Valid driver's license (must match submitted address)

  • Charge nurse experience: Highly preferred

  • Willingness to float: Required

  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue

  • Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with application

Unit Details:

Department: Emergency Department (64 total beds)

  • 40 Acute Care

  • 6 Super Track

  • 2 Trauma

  • 10 CDU

  • 6 Psych

  • 2 Triage

Patient Population: Newborn, Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric
Common Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
Special Equipment: Arctic Sun, Rapid Infusor

Additional Information:

  • Block scheduling is not guaranteed

  • No on-call requirement

  • Overtime Pay:

    • Daily OT after 24 hours (based on multiplier)

    • Weekly OT after 48 hours (based on multiplier)
