Job Title: Registered Nurse - Infusion/Oncology
Location: Ithaca, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks contract
Pay Rate: $55 to $58 per hour
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Oncology and Infusion Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. This role offers a stable weekday schedule with no weekends or on-call shifts. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of recent infusion and oncology nursing experience and can work independently in a fast-paced outpatient or clinical environment.
Administer IV infusions including chemotherapy, biologics, and specialty oncology medications
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond promptly to complications
Educate patients and families about medications, side effects, and home care related to oncology treatments
Maintain accurate patient records and infusion documentation
Collaborate with oncologists, physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
Follow safety and infection control protocols
Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of assignment
Strong knowledge of oncology and infusion nursing best practices
Ability to quickly assess patient conditions and identify complications
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Proficient in clinical documentation
Able to work independently and in a team setting
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Compliant with facility policies and regulatory requirements
