Job Title: Tier II IT Library Technician
Location: Belvidere, NJ (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (Tentative)

Job Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled Tier II IT Technician to provide advanced technical support across a network of library branches, with an immediate focus on one primary location. This is a hands-on, onsite role involving support for computer systems, printers, networks, and specialized library technologies. You'll work closely with staff to troubleshoot issues, document procedures, and ensure smooth IT operations for both staff and patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier II support for library systems including computers, printers, servers, Wi-Fi, and specialized software

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including complex print job/payment errors

  • Maintain and repair print release stations and ensure accurate print and payment processing

  • Create and update technical documentation for systems and support procedures

  • Travel to other library branches as needed

  • Perform routine maintenance: software updates, imaging, patching, and troubleshooting

  • Communicate effectively with staff and IT management to prioritize and resolve issues

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience providing Tier II IT support

  • Strong skills in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networks

  • Experience with print release station systems and payment-related issues

  • Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Office, networking basics (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi)

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple support tasks

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a library, school, or government IT environment

  • Familiarity with library management systems (e.g., Polaris, Koha, Sierra)

  • Knowledge of public computing environments and kiosk support
