Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Claims Reconciliation Accountant to assist with auditing and resolving insurance carrier discrepancies dating back to 2021. The role involves researching payroll transactions, carrier payments, and invoices, and making recommendations for adjustments and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in financial reconciliation, Excel, and cross-system data validation.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze past payroll and carrier records to identify amounts owed or due for refund.
Coordinate with internal finance, payroll, and HR teams to resolve discrepancies.
Lead reconciliation meetings and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Draft procedures and recommend process improvements to prevent future discrepancies.
Use systems such as SAP (HRIS), BenefitBridge, FileNet, Monarch, and Excel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration (Accounting focus) required.
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, with emphasis on auditing or reconciliations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with HRIS and benefit systems preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
