Job Title: Web Designer
Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid)
Duration: 1 Year (with potential extension)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Web Designer to join a dynamic Cloud Services team, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of custom SharePoint solutions and Power Platform applications. The successful candidate will create and customize SharePoint sites, automate workflows, develop business applications using Microsoft Power Apps, and integrate solutions with other enterprise systems.

This position demands a strong blend of technical architecture, development, documentation, and business analysis skills. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders across business and IT teams to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and support deployment and maintenance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Non-Technical:

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at various organizational levels

  • Support and train end users on new applications and solutions

  • Communicate clearly and professionally, especially under pressure

  • Document support procedures, solution designs, and deployment strategies

  • Provide feedback for system improvements and enhancements

  • Manage multiple tasks concurrently and provide regular status updates

  • Lead issue tracking, documentation, and resolution using helpdesk systems

  • Deliver high-quality solutions and customer service

  • Troubleshoot issues independently and hand off documented findings to peers when needed

Technical:

  • Design, develop, and support SharePoint (on-prem and online) and Power Platform solutions

  • Deliver GenAI-driven solutions using Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio

  • Gather requirements and develop PowerApps applications (canvas and model-driven)

  • Automate workflows using Power Automate

  • Integrate Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange) with business systems

  • Ensure application-level security and compliance with information security policies

  • Create and maintain technical documentation (e.g., governance, user guides)

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cloud-based and on-prem applications

  • Collaborate in Agile and Waterfall development environments

  • Provide root cause analysis and implement solutions or workarounds

  • Support application deployment, testing, and configuration

Required Skills:

  • Microsoft 365 Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate)

  • SharePoint Technologies (SharePoint 2019 & SharePoint Online)

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages

  • .NET Framework (ASP.NET, ADO.NET)

  • Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio

  • Microsoft Teams and Exchange

  • MVC-based web development

  • General database design and administration

  • Application-level security and Internet Information Services (IIS)

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Excellent organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PCI/NIST/Pub1075 security implementations or audits

  • Familiarity with development tools and team-based development workflows

  • Understanding of enterprise-level security procedures

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience
    OR

  • Associate’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
    OR

  • High school diploma with 12+ years of relevant experience
