Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced progressive care setting. The role requires strong telemetry and medication administration skills and a commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care to PCU patients, including continuous cardiac monitoring and medication administration

• Interpret telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition

• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes

• Accurately document in the electronic medical record

• Comply with infection control, safety, and procedural protocols

Requirements:

• Certifications Required:

  • AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale

  • Telemetry competency

• Medication test required prior to start

• Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years for first-time travelers

  • Prior PCU or Step-down experience preferred

• Hours: 36 hours/week; no exceptions

Floating Policy:

Staff may be required to float to other units or campuses within the health system based on staffing needs. Assignments will remain within scope and previously demonstrated competencies
