Seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Stroke Overflow unit. This position is located in a large, high-volume hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have prior EPIC experience, be comfortable with stroke overflow patients, and demonstrate clinical flexibility to float to other compatible units as needed.
Deliver nursing care to adult patients with complex medical-surgical and telemetry needs
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Document all nursing activities accurately in EPIC electronic health record
Participate in stroke overflow care, including frequent neurological assessments and medication titration
Maintain adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
Active RN license in South Carolina (or compact eligible)
At least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
Minimum 1 year of recent MS/Tele nursing experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Experience working with stroke patients preferred
Strong time management, critical thinking, and communication skills
Staff may be asked to float to other units or campuses within the health system based on census and staffing needs. Floating will be limited to units that align with demonstrated competencies and RN scope of practice.
Full bill rate granted for travelers living 100+ miles from facility
10% bill rate reduction for travelers living 50.0–99.9 miles
Travelers under 50 miles from the facility are ineligible for submission
