Contract Type: 13-Week Travel Assignment
Shifts: Variable Days/Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 or 48 Hours per Week

Compensation:

• Travel RN: Up to $2,506/week gross (including housing and meal stipends)

Position Overview:

A healthcare facility in Watertown, NY is seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department RN for a travel contract. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments and are passionate about providing critical, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department

• Rapidly assess and respond to life-threatening emergencies

• Evaluate patient needs across clinical, emotional, and spiritual domains

• Ensure patient safety during handling and transfers, utilizing lift equipment when necessary

• Demonstrate leadership and maintain composure under pressure

• Prioritize, delegate, and manage care effectively within the unit

• May serve as a charge nurse when required

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

• Active New York State RN license (required)

• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)

• PALS certification (required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire)

• Must pass lethal dysrhythmia exam during probationary period

• Defibrillation certification required within 6 months of hire

• Must be certified or become certified during orientation in IV therapy, medication administration, and phlebotomy

• Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience

• Emergency Department or charge nurse experience strongly preferred
