Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele - RNMST25-24153

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele
Duration: 13 weeks contract (Extendable)
Work Location: Cooperstown, NY
Shift Timing: 3x12 Days — 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Pay:

• Travel rate: $2,600 weekly (includes stipend)
• Local rate: $2,340 weekly

Requirements:

• Active RN license in New York State
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg and/or Telemetry experience
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• ACLS preferred
• Strong understanding of telemetry monitoring and stroke patient management
• Comfortable working with high-acuity, diverse patient populations

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with medical, surgical, and telemetry needs
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to acute patient changes
• Perform detailed assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team
• Care for patients with a range of diagnoses, including GI disorders, cardiac and renal conditions, and neurological impairments such as altered mental status
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols
