Job Title: Anesthesia Technologist (Contract)

Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts, 5 days per week)
Shift: Day Shift 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Anesthesia Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist anesthesia providers in all locations where general anesthesia is administered, ensuring optimal patient care and smooth procedural workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up operating rooms for all anesthesia cases, including invasive procedures.
• Perform timely room turnovers and assist with patient positioning and procedure preparation.
• Troubleshoot and operate various makes and models of anesthesia machines and related equipment.
• Assist with placement of invasive lines including arterial lines, central venous catheters, and thermo dilution catheters.
• Maintain infection control standards for all anesthesiology equipment and supplies.
• Order, restock, and manage anesthesia supplies, carts, and work areas as directed.
• Support anesthesia teams in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Anesthesia Technology program.
• Current National ASATT certification as an Anesthesia Technologist.
• Valid CPR/BLS certification (must be current before starting).
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reprocessing methods, aseptic and sterile techniques for anesthesia equipment.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center strongly preferred.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment health clearance.
