Total Weekly Compensation: $1,710 – $1,800 

 

Position Summary: 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Diagnostic Cardiology Technician for a 13-week travel contract in Hyannis, MA. This role is responsible for collecting clinical specimens and performing non-invasive cardiac testing to support high-quality patient care and timely diagnostics. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collect and transport clinical specimens, ensuring proper patient identification and adherence to specimen handling protocols 
  • Perform non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests including EKGs, Holter monitors, and stress tests in accordance with department policies 
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of lab requisitions and billing documentation 
  • Provide instructions to patients regarding specimen collection and testing procedures 
  • Document test and patient data accurately in hospital information systems and department logs 
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to communicate updates regarding test orders, patient status, and any procedural changes 
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times 
  • Assist nursing units and other departments with test-related questions and specimen requirements 
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new staff or clinical students under supervisor guidance 
  • Recommend workflow or quality improvements and assist with departmental QA efforts 
  • Participate in service recovery efforts and escalate issues to the supervisor as needed 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment; manage inventory and discard expired supplies 
  • Stay informed of the latest practices and technologies in the field through ongoing professional development 
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions 

 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Prior experience in phlebotomy and non-invasive cardiology testing strongly preferred 
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills 
  • Proficient in the use of hospital or laboratory information systems 
  • Knowledge of infection prevention, patient confidentiality, and PPE standards 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
