Unit: Emergency Department
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: 3x12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Pay Rate: $72/hour 

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join the fast-paced Emergency Department of a reputable hospital in Oneonta, NY. This is a night shift role ideal for critical thinkers who thrive in high-acuity settings and are passionate about delivering quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in a busy emergency department setting

• Triage and stabilize patients presenting with diverse emergency conditions (stroke, MI, trauma, psychiatric, geriatric, pediatric, etc.)

• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to medical emergencies

• Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses

• Adhere to facility policies, infection control protocols, and emergency procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience in Emergency Nursing

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Active New York State RN license (unencumbered)

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications

• Strong clinical assessment and prioritization skills

• Willingness to commit to night shifts and weekend rotations
