Job Title: Echocardiograph Technician (Echo Tech)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Rotating weekends & holidays | No on-call

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Echocardiograph Technician (Echo Tech) to join our team in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will perform a wide range of cardiac ultrasound procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality echocardiographic procedures including:

    • 2-D and 3-D transthoracic echocardiograms

    • Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)

    • Exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms

    • Intra-procedural imaging in the Heart and Vascular Center

  • Accurately capture and analyze cardiac images and data for physician interpretation

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

  • Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

  • Maintain equipment and assist with department quality initiatives and training

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI — or registry-eligible (must obtain within 1 year of hire)

  • Current CPR/BLS certification

  • Demonstrated cardiac ultrasound experience

  • Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques

  • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in a related health field

  • Prior hospital and/or clinic-based experience in echocardiography

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Rotating weekend and holiday coverage

  • No on-call responsibilities

  • Role includes coverage of both inpatient and outpatient echo services
