Position: Emergency Department RN

Location: Utica, NY

Contract Details:

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week

• Openings: 1 slot only — secure it quickly!

Compensation:

• Travel RNs: Up to $2,520/week ($70/hour)

• Local RNs: Up to $2,268/week ($63/hour)

About the Unit:

Join a fast-paced and well-supported Emergency Department offering:

• 21 monitored beds

• 5 psych-safe rooms

• Additional hall beds to meet patient demand

• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 4–5 patients per nurse (based on acuity)

• 24/7 support from physicians, PAs, case managers, social workers, and crisis evaluators

• ED techs skilled in phlebotomy, EKGs, and patient observation

Role Overview:

As an Emergency Department RN, you will:

• Provide comprehensive care from triage through discharge

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a wide variety of patients

• Deliver physical, emotional, psychological, and educational support

• Work as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team

Charge Nurse Responsibilities (if applicable):

• Coordinate patient flow and staff assignments

• Communicate effectively with EMS, triage staff, provider teams, and leadership

• Manage time, resolve conflicts, and keep operations running smoothly

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience

• Licensure/Certifications: Active RN license required; BLS, ACLS, and PALS preferred

• Specialty: General Emergency Department care
