Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Location: Dallas, TX
Job Type: Contract | Local or Travel
Shift: Monday–Friday, 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM (8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week)

Hourly Pay: $52/hour

Position Summary:

The Surgical Technologist is a key member of the surgical team, responsible for supporting the operating room environment by ensuring the proper setup and maintenance of sterile instruments, assisting with surgical procedures, and collaborating with the surgical team to deliver safe and efficient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to the surgeon’s preferences and procedure requirements

  • Assist with patient positioning, draping, and skin preparation

  • Maintain a sterile field and ensure all equipment is sterile before and during the procedure

  • Confirm patient identity, surgical procedure, and consent forms

  • Provide surgeons and assistants with required tools and materials during procedures

  • Hold retractors and instruments as needed during surgeries

  • Assist with endovascular procedures, including camera system operation for image clarity

  • Properly handle, label, and manage surgical specimens

  • Anticipate surgeon’s needs to ensure efficient workflow

  • Conduct sponge, instrument, and supply counts to maintain surgical safety

  • Apply post-operative dressings to incision sites

  • Clean and restock the operating room after procedures

  • Assist with transferring patients to the recovery area post-surgery

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with both Open and Endovascular surgery

  • Strong attention to detail, sterile technique, and surgical protocol

  • Ability to anticipate and respond effectively to the needs of the surgical team

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Certifications (Required):

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
