Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN Sonographer to perform diagnostic imaging in high-risk or office-based settings. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of focused experience in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound diagnostics, strong patient interaction skills, and a commitment to high-quality, HIPAA-compliant service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound imaging and procedural assistance in OB/GYN settings

  • Follow established imaging protocols under guidance from the Medical Director

  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images using proper equipment handling

  • Prepare patients and support physicians during ultrasound-guided procedures

  • Collect patient history and address physical, psychosocial, and educational needs prior to exams

  • Validate documentation and order completeness before each exam

  • Maintain workflow efficiency and collaborate with colleagues to meet department needs

  • Explain procedures clearly to patients, families, and staff

  • Adhere to policies regarding "Fit for Duty," HIPAA, attendance, parking, safety, and professional conduct

  • Keep work area clean, organized, and well-stocked

  • Schedule same-day exams (add-ons/emergencies) and follow customer-service standards

  • Use Imaging and HIS/RIS systems for exam tracking and structured reporting

  • Report equipment maintenance issues and practice safe operation

  • Follow all infection control protocols

  • Participate in peer reviews, team meetings, and departmental process improvement efforts

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and departmental standards

Qualifications: (Assumed)

  • Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN ultrasound experience, preferably in high-risk settings

  • Proficient with ultrasound equipment, structured reporting, and archiving systems

  • Excellent patient communication and professionalism

  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to maintain compliance with safety and regulatory policies
