Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Acute Neuro Unit)

Location: Cumming, GA

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 13-week contract

Unit: Acute Neuro Unit

Rate: $1800 weekly

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical RN for a day shift contract in an Acute Neuro Unit. The RN will provide specialized care for neurosurgery, neurology, ENT surgery, and general surgical patients, including both ambulatory individuals and bedridden patients requiring total care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for post-surgical and acutely ill patients
• Perform neurological assessments using the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and post-operative interventions
• Monitor patient recovery progress and provide necessary assistance for mobility and basic care
• Document assessments and interventions using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with surgeons, specialists, and care teams to optimize patient outcomes

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Active BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification for stroke assessment
• ACLS certification for advanced cardiac life support
